Implementing apostolic ministry in the church.

Apostle Hennie Meiers.

Much has been said and taught about the apostolic reformation during the past decade. Before the 21st Century the Lord released a fresh awareness of the apostolic ministry in our generation. The time has come to stop theorising and start implementing what we understand. Paul the apostle was a wise master builder who knew how to make paradigm shifts and how to implement the present day truth revealed to him during his life.

If you buy a car you get a driver’s manual with it to explain to you how to use it. Most buyers never spend the time to read through the manual and consequently do not get the best use out of their vehicles. It is the same with the church. We go from Revival to Revival, we see how God restores things to the church but we refuse to reform. Reformation is the key to keeping what Revival and Restoration brings. Reformation is not an extra software package that you add to your collection. It is a completely new hard drive system for your computer! Once you have reformed you cannot go back any more!

In order to implement the apostolic reformation in a local church we need to understand what aspects have changed and how to recognise the change. Then we need to have divine wisdom to implement the paradigm shifts to the benefit of the entire congregation until the least of the members have a grasp on the new frequency of the spirit.

The spiritual landscape has changed over the past ten years. New dimensions have opened up as knowledge of the Lord increased and as we have gained a better perspective of the ways of the Lord. If you know how someone thinks and operates you can co-operate far better!

What used to work under the old paradigms do not work in the new.

If the business world has changed drastically through the introduction of computers so has the spirit realm! If you walk into an office and see an old Remmington typewriter and a manual Roneo machine and black farm telephones with a sling you will wonder if you are visiting a museum! Some churches are so far behind what God is already doing in the earth that when you visit them it feels exactly the same!

They still sing the same choruses they used to sing fifty years ago.

Announcements are made in the same way and they preach and minister exactly the way they used to. The topics of their sermons have not changed neither has their revelation of the Lord. It is as if God has not visited this planet for fifty long years! They say senseless things like, “Give me that old time religion it was good enough for my mamma and pappa and it is good enough for me!”

They pray long drawn out prayers that go nowhere and they try to stir up the people to get emotional about God. No one has a self-starter!

When I was a kid we still saw cars and aeroplanes with sling starters! Today you push buttons on your remote key holder to start the engine and set the temperature for you! The lights are programmed to go off after a few seconds after you have left the vehicle. There are auto-pilots for aeroplanes! Cars have computerised systems and maps of the area you are driving in. Everything has changed. A motor mechanic is useless today unless he understands the computerised models.

When things have changed in the world and someone stubbornly refuses to change it looks ridiculous. It is like the guy who fought in the Borneo jungle and got lost on a mission. He dug himself in and built a little hut for himself. He stored the ammunition to defend himself. Several years after the war had ended someone discovered him. They tried to convince him that the war had ended but he insisted that he was still fighting the war and threatened to shoot them! Some people still do not believe that a man walked on the moon in the late sixties! They say it was a lie concocted by the Americans to make them look superior.

Well, the changes have come and we would do well to implement them in our way of serving the Lord! God has changed the frequency that He communicates on and we should pay attention to the messages he is trying to get through to us. God will never change and His word is settled forever in heaven, but his modus operandi for the end-time needs to be decoded from the Old Testament prophets and the New Testament apostolic writers. These men wrote prophetically as the spirit moved them. They did not always understand what they were writing. God told them to seal the words for those who would be alive at the end of time. If a man can seal prophetic words in the earth then a man with prophetic and apostolic understanding can break those seals to bring understanding to his generation.

Alexander Graham Bell discovered the telephone. Today we talk on cell phones. Things have changed. We discovered that airwaves transmit things without cables! Television links the world and satellites make it possible for any event to be seen by all the nations of the earth at any given moment! The prophets prophesied that when Jesus comes every eye would see Him! All these technological advances have come to prepare the way for the return of the Lord, not just for the anti-Christ!

Edison discovered the light bulb and the TV and now we can talk to each other on computers and look each other in the face. Through satellite cameras we can see what is going on in every home in our cities. Earthly things are simply shadows of the way God has been operating all the time. Everything is naked and open to His eyes. It is not just Big Brother watching how you live in your private home. It is the Big God who is aware of your every move. He never sleeps or slumbers. He knows what you dream about. He translates your sighs into words by His Holy Spirit and interprets our human condition through the agency of His Spirit who lived in Jesus Christ h He knows everything all the time! Computers give us a glimpse into the mind of God!

Columbus discovered new worlds as an explorer and we are busy exploring the spirit world to gain understanding in our role as children of the most high God! Nowadays our students and church members report how Nola and I instruct them in their dreams about details in their lives and give them solutions to their problems! If we can communicate on that level who needs an office? We run the church on a virtual office system. That means that we do not have a physical office anymore but our office is virtually everywhere! We communicate through the Internet on chatrooms and through emails. The one who checks my messages on the phone zips it and emails it to me. I unzip it and answer people through email at 4 a. m. in the morning! Our home cell leaders send their reports via emails and I distribute the teachings via the Internet at the touch of a button. These things are to our advantage! People pay their tithes through electronic banking.
