APOSTOLIC
FREQUENCY
Finding the Apostolic Frequency of Spirit is clearly
demonstrated by the example we have in the book of the Acts of the Apostles of
Agabus trying to warn Paul. Charismatic
preachers who have preached a self-centred faith message have said things like
:If Paul knew what we know today, he
would not have had so much trouble. Or, if Paul had only listened to the
prophet Agabus we might have lived longer. It is clear that these teachers have
their own interests in mind and do not pick up the FREQUENCY of the Apostolic
Spirit.
In a governmental house such as an Apostolic
Reformation Assembly, the holy Spirit sends out a certain frequency of spirit,
which is in the atmosphere of whatever that group of people set out to do. Unless people determine in their hearts to
pick up that frequency, they will have a distorted view of what God is busy
doing or what He is about to do.
THE RADIO
In the natural world the radio has progressed from
short-wave, to medium -wave, to FM. In
the cinemas the sound has progressed from old amplifiers to stereo, to
quadraphonic sound and finally to sensurround.
In the Spirit realm there is a similar
progression. The new frequencies have
always been there, but we have only
recently learnt how to tune in to those Frequencies of the apostolic
spirit. The churches and denominations
who have not as yet tuned in, are hearing distorted messages concerning the
things God is already doing in the earth today.
While they are debating over the validity of the existence of present
day apostles and whether the church should merely acknowledge the apostolic
function but not the apostolic office, there are those liberated believers who
already walk in apostolic dimensions experiencing not only the fruits of the
promised land of the apostolic dimensions, but actually possessing that land,
bit by bit! Hallelujah!
HEARING THE RIGHT FREQUENCY
How can you vote about what the Spirit is saying and
doing? You can either hear or not hear.
You are either tuned in or you are not. Jesus said: “If you have ears to hear what
the Spirit is saying...”. If your
spiritual ears are dull of hearing, you would not hear what God is saying even
though He spoke with an audible voice where you regularly meet. When Jesus was baptised in the river Jordan ( by the way Jordan means “to go down”, this
alone should convince people to get baptised by emersion, to go down into the
water! Yet there are those who still
argue about the traditions of the old denominations to sprinkle water on the
heads of infants and they want to compare it with actual emersion and maintain
that it is just as good! Their radio
receiver is not even picking up short wave yet, let alone medium wave. They are still playing around with valve jobs
while the Spirit is moving beyond fibre optics to transmit the mind of Christ
to the Church.)
As Jesus came up out of the water ( why would He go
into the water , if it was just as good to sprinkle water on His head?) the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form
from above and the Father spoke with an audible voice, saying: “This is my
beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased,
hear ye Him.” Those who recorded
and reported this incident obviously heard what God’s voice was saying, but
those who stood by thought it had thundered.
Do you stand by, or are you under God’s commands?
STAND BY PASSENGERS
The problem with self-centered believers is that they
are always on stand by. They never get involved. Especially people who give themselves the
ministry of intercession. Let me say it
clearly, once and for all, there is no such ministry as Intercession in the Bible. Prayer is a life-style, not an excuse to do
nothing in the church. And most
intercessors constantly want to tell the elders what the church should be
doing. Or people who always try to prove
that they heard what is being preached, long before the preacher got it. Yet they will never dirty their hands to
assist with the packing up of sound equipment after a meeting in a hall. The are the stand by passengers, always
waiting for a discounted flight, never willing to pay the full price, seeking a
way out to justify themselves for not doing the will of the Father and
finishing His work, but like Pharisees they pretend to know everything, while
their own lives are always in a mess.
Pretenders they are, trying to offer something they themselves do not
have. They do not have peace, they do
not have joy, they have no victory in their lives, they are always blaming
others for their own situations, they
never take full responsibility for their own decisions and they are forever
trying to spiritualize their situation to cover up their foolish mistakes. These people always want to take credit for
what they never did, but because they feel they knew it before the others, they
feel more spiritual and only want to relate to
“leaders” and not to believers.
They cannot fit into a home cell, because they see themselves as too
spiritually advanced. Yet they will not
take the responsibility of running a home cell and caring for people. Bystanders.
Stand by passengers. Always hanging
around air ports, they know all the flights and all the prices, but they are
always looking out for a discount, a cheap ride, one that won’t cost them too
much. This mentality has always been in
the church and many prophetic ministries are trapped by that same attitude,
thinking because they have a gift, they should not get involved or have any
responsibility in a local church. They
New Testament prophet is a bona fida church member, for the information of those
super spiritual individuals out there who disassociate themselves from active
membership in order to be “free” to minister any where. Bystanders.
Stand by passengers. Not hearing
the apostolic frequency of the Spirit at all.
Most of them playing mind-games with their thoughts, hoping that is
could be prophetic words. They always
have a word for everybody else, except themselves and their lives are always in
a mess. They struggle for a life time or
resort to schemes and men’s devices to manipulate people to put money in their
account. Stand by passengers in the
kingdom.
These loose hangers-on need to be disciplined by
apostolic ministries to bring order to the church of the Lord Jesus Christ, and
raise the standard of human life to the status God had originally intended for
it. Amen!
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ?
Acts 21:10-15: A certain prophet named Agabus came down...Agabus
means “he loved”. One wonders what he
loved! What do you love? Your ministry or God? Your reputation or obeying God? Applause
or God’s rewards? Man’s approval
or Gods? Good offerings or delivering
Gods message? The frequency of spirit that you are tuned into is predetermined
by what you love...
A FINISHING MENTALITY
A few years ago Agabus had predicted a great famine
which came to pass and established him as a prophet in the eyes of the people
(Acts 11:28) Yet he himself did not physically do anything to alleviate the
situation, but Barnabas and Saul took relief to the brethern in Judea. Apostles
always know what to do. Jesus always knew the will of the Father and
finished His work.
Its one thing to know, its something else to do
something about it! Apostolic finishing
mentality is required to DO something about it.
The disciples determined to send relief, but the apostles had to take
it.
THIS IS THAT
Why did the Holy Spirit choose Barnabas and Saul in
Acts 13:2 for apostolic work? Because
they were already known as a team who would get things done. They knew how to turn a “THIS INTO THAT.”
They know how to fulfil prophecy, not merely prophesy. That is the apostolic frequency we are
talking about. They do not merely attend
conferences to see what they can get out of it or to find out what they latest
slogans for the year are : eg. Don’t be late in ‘98!
They actually know what the Father of Spirits require
of them and they find ways to accomplish His purpose in the earth. They are tuned in to the apostolic
frequency. They actually hear God
speaking to them, telling them what to do.
His voice does not sound like thunder to them. The hear it accurately
and distinctly! They are definitely not
bystanders or stand by passengers. They
actually pay the price for the ticket and get onto the flight. If they have to pay the price for a first
class ticket they do it and get onto the flight.
BUILDING INSTEAD OF BLESSING
Jesus is looking for people who will help Him build
His glorious church and not merely stand around looking spiritual. He does no want people to go around to simply
bless people, he is looking for builders.
People who will roll up their sleeves and get to work.
We are finishing the building project God gave us to
do, to build a house according to the design He placed within our hearts. Now that it is nearing completion, people
often drive by or stand by to look at it and to discuss it. Then they drive on again. Many believers are like that. They have a look at what the Spirit is doing,
they discuss it among themselves and then drive on. They clearly do not want to have any
responsibility in a church! They would
much rather just stand by. Just
intercede. Just prophesy and pass
by. It might cost them too much if they
got involved!
READY TO DIE
READY OR WILLING TO DIE INDICATES A PREDISPOSTION OR A
PREPARATION BEFOREHAND.
So Agabus came down and prophesied to Paul that he
could possibly be bound if he went up to Jerusalem. His prophecy was accurate, but he did not
pick up the frequency of the apostolic spirit in Philip, the evangelists,
home. Here’s the apostolic response: “What
do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart?
For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” That is the right frequency. He overcome by not loving his life, even unto
death. Some people just love themselves
to death! You can see it in the way they
parade. Their self-image and self-esteem
speaks louder than the Spirit in them.
WATCHMEN WATCHES FROM A DISTANCE
It’s one thing to predict a famine. It’s a totally different kettle of fish to
know what to do about it. Many practising prophets and developing
prophets think if they can come up with a fear notice that it would draw attention
to their gift in the church. They would
like to be known as watchmen. They
always watch what is happening and never make things happen! They are like the disciples of Jesus when
they all deserted him and watched from a distance. In Afrikaans the word is “TOESKOUERS”. They never get onto the field to play in the
mud to win the game.
The Levites had to bare their shoulders to carry the
wooden poles of the ark. They were not
allowed to have material between the wooden poles and their skin. The flesh always wants it easy and never hard,
so we make things as comfortable for ourselves as we possibly can, even through
prophecies, because we are self-centred by nature, we try to make it easy for
others when we prophecy and never hard.
APPETITE FOR STRUGGLE
There is no appetite for struggle or enduring hardship
in charismatic prophecies, because it is centred round satisfying the flesh and
not fulfilling the purposes of God. But
where the apostolic frequencies bust through the stifling air of self-centred
spirituality, Agabus is silenced by a voice that goes beyond fear into the
glorious finish facing the odds and overcoming victoriously in spite of all the
self-centred advice of the quasi-spiritually transmitted messages.
In the Apostolic frequency comes a new dimension of an
appetite for struggle and hardship or whatever is required on whatever level of
sacrifice in order to obey the commands form heaven’s command post and to bring
about a glorious transformation in the earth of churches that are victorious
and accurate confident of their absolute right standing with God, knowing He
will protect what He had started and perfect it, without fear that something
could go wrong some time or someone with wrong motives could come in and spoil
what God is doing in our midst.
SLAVE MENTALITY
This is the slave mentality of those who are in
bondage. In an apostolic frequency those who want to disrupt what God is doing
will fall down dead! They will be struck
blind for a season! There are
earthquakes and prison doors opening in apostolic frequency. There are releases of mighty signs and
wonders and supernatural connections.
Pick up the frequency of the apostolic ministry and
stop being thwarted in your own mind by suggestions from the devil in your
thoughts and in your dreams and then project your fears onto an assembly,
parading in the name of prophecy or intercession. Stop being a watchman. That is an Old Testament concept. Jesus did not give watchman and intercessors
to perfect the church. He gave Apostles
and Prophets: who know the mind of the Lord.
We have the mind of Christ. Why
would we fear what man or Satan can do to us?
We do not walk by fear, but by faith.
THE WILL OF GOD
The safest place of protection is walking in the will
of God. We do not need mere watchmen, we
need workers! People who can obey
instructions and get a job done! The
labourers are few and the harvest is great.
Why do you want to watch when you can work?
Apostolic frequency will change your wave length- it
will affect the way you hear and see things.
Stop being carnal and living in fear and trepidation. All your dreams scare you and you want to
project your fears onto those who are willing to lay down their lives for the
gospel’s sake. How do you think it will
affect and apostle if you try to scare
him? It will have the same effect as
water on a duck’s back. Where the apostolic frequency is clear, great
sacrifices are made joyfully and fear is a dead duck. Come out of hiding all you intercessors and
watchmen! Come join the Frey! Get your full armour on and join the
fight. It is a good fight! It is a fight of faith and only those who
believe can win. If you fear you are
defeated. We win because we fight
according to our great Advisor. There is
no thought of failure and defeat. God
cannot loose. Love never fails. So throw in your towel if you want to be
defeated, but the apostolic frequency will battle on until all the Lord’s
enemies are made His footstool!
Hallelujah!
